Pascal Chevillot, French is a 4th generation chef and restaurateur from Burgundy,  Pika from Slovenia, designer/ artist. They meet in St. Martin, Caribbean where they lived for 10 years. Pascal had the famous Cha-cha-cha restaurant and Pika was painting and designing.

They moved to Los Angeles for 7 years where Pascal worked as a private chef to rich and famous and Pika worked on their homes, ambiance and lifestyle designs, continued to paint and exhibit her work.
During those years they’ve been visiting Bali for a couple of months a year.  Missing the life in tropics and seduced by Bali they decided three years ago to move here and build a restaurant.

Sardine restaurant is a casual and stylish restaurant located in Petitenget, Kerobokan.

Executive Chef Michael Shaheen from California is a great new addition to Sardine team. He supervises the kitchen at Sardine and  creates innovative menu that changes daily, inspired by the fresh fish and seafood from the fish market as well as organic vegetables from their own organic vegetable gardens in Munduk Lumbang.

Cozy bar/lounge offers a fare of small, tasty and original plates as well as a choice of exotic drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sardine has a distinctive appearance using bamboo as the main material to create a unique contemporary, yet warm and inviting “Bali friendly” architecture, surrounded by live bamboo, overlooking stunning rice fields.

The choice of bamboo in the construction comes from an awareness to look at alternative materials for building and was inspired by John Hardy and the eco-friendly movement already in motion on the island and around the world using bamboo as an environmentally renewable non-wood forest resource.
